A quick round, a real decision

Select Play in the game, then choose a table of two, three or four players. You control the bottom hand; the other seats are computer opponents. Each player starts with seven cards. Your aim is to be the first to play every card in your hand.

01 · Match the top card

Play a card with the same color, number or action symbol as the discard pile. A wild card lets you choose the next color.

02 · Watch the turn

Skip and reverse cards affect who plays next. Draw cards give a penalty to the next player. Follow the game’s highlights and prompts.

03 · Call your last card

Use the last-card button marked 1 when you are down to one card. Missing the call can trigger a penalty. Keep an eye on opponents with small hands.

For example, if the discard is a blue 7, a blue 2 or a red 7 can both be useful. Choose the blue 2 if you want to keep the table blue; choose the red 7 if red is the color you have most of. The best move depends on your remaining hand.

Read the complete 4 Colors rules for the action cards, drawing and the last-card call. Then use our practical strategy guide to plan more than one turn ahead.

Choose the table that fits your game

Two players

You and one computer opponent. Turn-changing cards have an immediate effect, and it is easier to track one rival’s hand.

Three players

You and two computer opponents. Watch the direction of play before deciding which action card to spend.

Four players

You and three computer opponents. More hands compete for the same discard pile, so the active color can change quickly.

Before you play

Is this live multiplayer?

This version plays against computer opponents. The table-size buttons choose the total number of seats, including you. They do not create an online room.

How do I make the cards easier to see?

Use Full screen, or turn on Larger cards and scroll sideways in the board. On a phone, landscape orientation gives your hand more room.

Will my unfinished round return after I close the page?

The game saves a checkpoint at the start of your turn in this browser. After reloading, choose Resume saved round on the game menu. If you leave during an animation or a computer turn, you return to the last checkpoint. Starting a new round replaces the saved round. Browser storage must be available.

Do I need to sign in or download an app?

No. The game runs in this page in a browser with JavaScript enabled. There is no player account or app download required.
